Just realized that I never posted this back in January. Oops! And I don’t think I’ve drawn any fake tattoos since then. In case you’ve noticed, yes, I’ve become rather fond of the pointer & thumb spot when it comes to tattooing. This particular one turned into some sort of goose at some point, but not early enough to be all that cohesive.

Since I got so many likes on my ink from yesterday, I figured that I’d post a link to some of my ink from 2009. I did a lot of inks that year because I worked on the middle school production of The Jungle Book (which is actually just Mogli) doing the face-paint for all the animal characters. It was super fun and I ended up spending a lot of time backstage with the kids when I wasn’t in the make-up room (which is actually the middle school art room) and ended up giving a number of people my ink tattoos.

Drew on my hand during Photography for Illustrators class. Old habits are hard to break, and this habit is so pretty! Photos taken out in the hall against the elevator doors, bluh.

Finished, if slightly smudged.  I snapped this picture during English.  Good thing too, because it quickly become pretty smudged.  During Video Art Max told me I should just get one of these as a real tattoo, since I’m always drawing them during the school year whenever I’m tired.  He asked if I was interested in being a tattoo artist professionally.  Sorry, Max!  I want to illustrate children’s books!  At least I can have “tattoo artist” as a back up (no offense to real tattoo artists).

In Progress.  Drawn with a micron felt tip.  Please keep in mind that I have tiny hands, so it’s likely this is smaller than you think.
